About Us:

EV Rental Cars has been in operation since 1998 as the first and only rental company in the US to rent only environmental vehicles to the public. We currently offer a fleet of all-environmental hybrid vehicles. In less than nine years of operation we have prevented the emission of over 100 tons of air pollution into our skies, reduced fuel consumption by more than 500,000 gallons of fuel, and have passed on over $1 million in fuel cost savings to our customers. It is our mission to provide the most technologically advanced environmental vehicles to the public, to educate the public and raise awareness of the benefits of driving clean-fuel vehicles, and to create a market for clean car technology.

Our Vehicles:

We carry the Toyota Prius, Honda Civic Hybrid, Toyota Highlander Hybrid, and Ford Escape Hybrid
The Prius and Civic Hybrid will allow you to reach fuel efficiencies of up to 60 mpg depending on driving conditions. Additionally, these models will allow the driver access to HOV lanes in California when they have the proper access decal. (Ask your representative when you rent one if this feature is available on your rental).

The Highlander and Escape Hybrids will increase fuel efficiencies up to 39 mpg depending on driving conditions.

Rental Process:

Arrivals at San Francisco Int’l Airport (SFO): Take the tram from the terminal to the rental car center. An EV representative will greet you, and assist you to the shuttle for FOX RENT A CAR. From there you will take a short bus ride to the Fox lot where another EV Representative will check your drivers license and escort you to your vehicle and provide any additional assistance you may need. At return, just bring the vehicle back to FOX RENT A CAR, so that they can check in your rental, and then board the FOX shuttle back to the rental center.

Arrivals at San Jose Airport (SJC) and Oakland Int’l Airport (OAK): Take the rental car shuttle to FOX RENT A CAR. Once at Fox Rent a Car, an EV Representative will greet you, check your drivers license, escort you to your vehicle, and provide any additional assistance you may need. At return, just bring the vehicle back to FOX RENT A CAR, so that they can check in your rental, and then board the rental car shuttle back to the terminal.
